My plans for this week-end
Over the past several weeks I've been held "health hostage" by some lower back issues.
As soon as these eased I found myself "house-bound" and miserable with seasonal allergy symptoms.
Then I developed severe facial pain and needed to have my first root canal.
Makes one truly appreciate "normalcy" and gives an even deeper empathy
for those with illnesses that are not self limiting but chronic and debilitating.
Frequent doctor/dentist visits, MRIs, x-rays (throw in a few followup Mammograms), chiropractic visits, various medicine dosing schedules, and rearranging work schedules had my tiara tilted a little ... but never fully dislodged.

With all this (hopefully) behind me,I look forward to a blissful weekend. I'll be outside by the gardens with a good book and a glass of wine, watching the birds, listening to their songs, and enjoying the warmth, sunshine, and refreshing breezes of June. I'll tend to colorful pots of annuals, set up the back deck furniture, pick some crisp lettuce for a spring salad and cook some special meals. I may even get to that used book sale in a few towns over.
