AUTUMN

It's raking leaves wearing hoodies and gloves while crisp air pinkens our cheeks.  It's sitting around bonfires wrapped up in blankets, sipping apple cider and hot coffee with family and friends.
Let's enjoy the beauty of this season
autumn quotes from various authors

"Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile"

"If you will stay close to nature, to its simplicity, to the small things hardly noticeable,
 those things can unexpectedly become
 great and immeasurable."

"Autumn carries more gold in its pocket

 than all the other seasons!"

“FALL HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE SEASON.
THE TIME WHEN EVERYTHING BURSTS WITH ITS LAST BEAUTY, AS IF NATURE HAD BEEN SAVING UP ALL YEAR FOR THE GRAND FINALE.”

"Anyone who thinks fallen leaves are dead has never watched them dancing on a windy day."

"Autumn is the mellowest season, and what we lose in flowers
we more than gain in fruits"

"Winter is an etching, spring is a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all"

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood...and I,
I took the one less traveled..."

The gentle things in life

apples
big sweaters
books
candles
cups of tea

"Fall colors are funny.
They're so bright and intense and beautiful.
It's like nature is trying to fill you up with color,
to saturate you so you can stockpile it before winter turns everything muted and dreary."

"Autumn is the second spring, when every leaf is a flower!"

"Autumn teaches us that change can be beautiful"

Autumn mornings:  sunshine, cool air, and calmness

"Two sounds of autumn are unmistakable...the hurrying rustle of crisp leaves blown along the street by a brisk wind, and the gabble of a flock of migrating geese."

"I cannot dare to waste anything as precious as Autumn sunshine by staying in the house.  So I spend almost all the daylight hours outside in the open air."  Nathaniel Hawthorne

I wish for you an autumn day
filled with the unexpected miracles nature offers

yes... an autumn leaf tiara
